Dear Parents:
Barber Middle School and Acworth Intermediate School have just completed a year-long study of School-Based Health Centers. We are exploring the possibility of developing our own center to serve the students in our two schools. Through a generous Urban Healthcare Planning Grant of $10,000.00, we have formed a steering committee of parents, community leaders, district representatives, and healthcare professionals to make some preliminary projections. We have also formed a budget committee and strong partnerships with United Way, WellStar Health Systems and Northside Psychological Services to look at sources of funding to start and sustain a clinic that will meet our needs. A school-based clinic will NOT be an added cost to the school district.
One CRITICAL piece in our planning is to get YOUR FEEDBACK! We want ALL parent and staff members from Acworth Intermediate and Barber Middle School to give us your feedback by completing the survey below. The survey will be available until the end of Conference Week (October 25, 2013).
